Bio I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and am currently studying Theatre Design & Technology at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA with an expected graduation in May of 2014.
I am a Costume Crafter and work in wardrobe, but I am capable of applying my wide variety of skills to other areas of Theatre or Film as well. I have been a visual artist my entire life and have experience with a multitude of mediums, such as paint, clay, wood, plaster, fabric, charcoal, and miscellaneous materials. I began sewing at an early age, using it as an addition to the visual art I was engaged in. Both the art and sewing combined to became a job when I enrolled at Dickinson College and joined the Costume Department. I was first introduced into the world of theatre through acting. I started at a young age in elementary school, and became more sincere about it in College. Working on stage has given me a much better idea of the communication necessary for backstage work, and has particularly aided me in my wardrobe experience. Outside of the theatre, I am a first and foremost a student of liberal arts, a visual artist, a beginner guitarist, and a singer, having studied voice privately and in ensembles for about ten years. I have worked with musicians of all ages in summers camps and in various musical groups. I am good with children, animals, and adults. I enjoy taking on responsibility, and am restless if I am not working diligently. I am the president of the only theatrical group at Dickinson College, The Mermaid Players, and am happy to assume this position for a second year as I enter my senior year. I am eager to continue learning through the end of my school career and as I enter the world beyond young adult-hood. |
