Professional Work

Working in the Greenbrier Valley Theatre Costume Shop
Santa Fe Opera
Over summer 2013 I worked as a Costume Craft Dressing Apprentice. I worked in the crafts department with Deborah Nash, the Department head, four staff members (two crafts, two millinery) and one other apprentice. During the day I worked on the craft build for the five opera productions, sometimes assisting with millinery work as well. During four of the five operas I worked as a dresser for chorus members and for two male principals. (for La Traviata) Working on such large professional productions taught me the importance of positional hierarchy and detailed, pristine work. During the annual apprentice scenes I had the opportunity to design a scene from Doubt, and act as the Costume Crafts Head for the first week of scenes.
The productions I worked on while at the Santa Fe Opera:
The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein, designed by Jo van Schuppen- Costume Crafts Apprentice, Male Chorus DresserRevival of The Marriage of Figaro, designed by Paul Brown- Costume Crafts Apprentice
La Donna Del Lago, designed by Kevin Knight- Costume Crafts Apprentice, Male Chorus Dresser
Revival of La Traviata, designed by Laurent Pelly- Costume Crafts Apprentice, Dresser to Mr. Jonathan Michie and Mr. Dale Travis
World Premiere of Oscar, designed by David C. Woolard- Costume Crafts Apprentice, Female Chorus Dresser
First Week Apprentice Scenes, supervised by Pamela Knourek- Costume Crafts and Millinery Head
Scene from Doubt, directed by Louisa Muller, supervised by Pamela Knourek- Designer
